Menu 7 - Family Feast

A family gathering around the dinner table with great food, wine and company is an occasion to savour.  It seems with our increasingly busy schedules we find it difficult to find the time to make and enjoy a traditional Sunday dinner.  With this menu we’ve matched 5 delicious recipes that are not only fool proof but quick and easy to do. 

Get a start on your dinner well in advance with an easy to make Chicken Dumpling Soup that can be done weeks in advance and frozen.  Don’t serve the usual Roast chicken to the family but treat them to a moist and tender Rack of Veal rubbed all over with fragrant rosemary and garlic.  While the veal is roasting, pop in a casserole of Sweet Potato Mash that you made the day before and a pan of Caramelized Shallots.  They cook at the same temperature and within the same period leaving you lots of time for some well deserved family time.  Then as the perfect comforting end to this night dish out bowls of Mixed Berry Cookie Crumble, a fruity dessert with a crisp gingery topping.
